About Andy Frankel

Andy  is a results-driven leader with 20+ years in the electronic payments space. Prior to his entrance into the credit card processing arena, Andy spent the first four years of his professional life in the United States Air Force. Andy was stationed in Las Vegas, NV where he worked as an electrician on F-16 fighter jets.

After being honorably discharged from the Air Force, Andy began working in the electronic payments space and ultimately became a key member of a company that was acquired by First American Payment Systems in 2003. It was shortly after that sale that Andy was named President of Certified Payment Processing. Under his leadership, CPP had 4 consecutive years of EBITDA growth.

In 2007, Andy resigned as President of CPP and went on to open APEX Merchant Group in Frisco, TX in 2008, where he grew the company from 20 employees to over 80 with over $4 million of EBITDA. APEX Merchant Group was acquired by FAPS in 2015; where he was again named President and posted a 2016 EBITDA of over $10 million.

All told, Andy has more than 20 years of electronic transaction processing experience directing as many as 200 employees in companies with revenues in excess of $100 million. He has led companies through start-up, survival, turnaround and growth modes. And with over 10 years as President in the financial services industry, Andy’s understanding of sales and operations is a rare find in the SMB processing space and has been a driving force in his success.

A native of New Jersey, Andy relocated to Texas in 1984 where he resides today. In his spare time, Andy enjoys playing golf at his home course, Dallas National Golf Club, where he has been a member for several years.  Although he has played courses all over the world, the legendary Pine Valley Golf Club in New Jersey remains his favorite.
